Good place to stay for a night. We stayed for Riverfire 2013. There is minimal off street parking so pays to call the hotel before you go to find a carpark at the hotel. The drive into their carpark is tight. I had a Holden Barina, (small car) lucky! - which fit through the drive snug, any other bigger vehicle, will need a very experienced driver! There is an additional cost to park in their carpark. The staff were good and we enjoyed our stay, very little outside noise which was good. Our room was clean and serviced to an expected standard. Good walking distance to Queen St mall, and South bank. Great location. It was good here too as checkout next day was 11 am!

This place is an excellent hotel to stop off for a night or two. Great room rate with everything you need and close to all amenities without being in the thick of it. Staff are great and rooms are nice and clean.

So so disappointing- cheap yes- ok to just sleep in - I wouldn't recommend to anyone with a disability- nor with kids nor if suffers from anxiety - claustrophobia etc- oh so very tiny rooms - I was booked in and stayed only 4 hrs had to leave- I got asthma- shook with anxiety- maybe ok for a single person but we as an older couple had to climb over bags to get around the bed- had to sit on bed to make a cuppa- oh definately not for me- and not very clean- small and dingy- HOWEVER position is great- the coffee shop downstairs has great food and beverages- but definately more a mans accommodation - more like a hostel- very deceiving from the front- very over priced for such a small dingy room- the most horrible experience I have ever had - sorry - but fellas might manage it-

After a long day sitting at St. Andrews Hospital the Hotel George William was the first one we came along and the staff were so helpful, polite and gave us the best rate possible so that we could get a restful nights sleep before returning to the hospital.

We stayed in a Queen room and it was fitted out with everything we needed including complimentary soaps/shampoos tea/coffee/biscuits. The price was fantastic being right in the heart of the city. Our room had a lovely view over Spring Hill. The restaurant was also great but was closed the night we arrived. Staff were friendly and professional. Key cards were used so you could only get off at your floor/laundry floor and the gym. Would stay there again.
