First time we have dined here. Had a dinner on the Saturday night, followed by breakfast the following morning. Beautiful food, with Friendly and prompt service too. Very happy to return.

Fish and chips for lunch at this iconic hotel in Victor Harbor. Once again we were happy with our meal here. We seem to end up eating here many times when visiting Victor. There are a number of eating areas here to choose from.

Enjoyed many meals here with work colleagues when i was working in Victor last year. The atmosphere was pleasant and our meals always prepared the way we liked them, enjoyed many a steak here. Parking can be difficult at times.

We came for the buffet meal one night and enjoyed it. The ambience in the dining room is good, the staff is friendly and meal is nice. Lovely looking out to the sea too. The buffet is a 3 course meal and well priced. A la carte menu is also available. Pokies and cake and coffee and accommodation is also offered by this iconic hotel.

Very close to Granite island with good car parking close by and great views. The Encounter restaurant has a carvery buffet and if you have supermarket docket it is a good buy , with secord meal for only $6.50. Roasted vegies tasted great and meat portions good size, and presented nicely. Selection of about 6 deserts to suit everyone. Staff friendly and the service was good, considering it was quite busy.

Our first time here. The waitress was very "rules oriented". We tried to find out the options available from ala carte or the carvery. You can only sit in the window area, which has fabulous views if you eat ala carte, so we choose that. Every question we had she seemed to reply "That's the rules" They have one pre made salad option to go with the Whiting & chips. but that's the rules, no good when you have food sensitivities. So it was loaded with items I cant eat. My sister enjoyed her salad & ate mine too! Whiting was small, chips were pale. Fortunately I had an Entertainment voucher that offered two for one otherwise $19.95 is a big ask for a second grade meal. I did ask the waitress how long she had worked there, true enough she had only been there for 6 weeks, so obviously still stuck at the "rules" stage. She said she loved her new job but that was not evident in the way she treated these "New" customers. Doubt if we will ever return.

Had a meal in the encounter restaurant (the main dining) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Have been here many times over the years and always leave feeling good. Nostalgic I think. Had the grain fed beef which was gluten free and some of the salads without dressings. Another very nice meal while in Victor

Great lunch time specials.Good choice of cakes on offer. The snitzel choices are amazing something for everyone good play area for the little people in your family :)

Love the daily specials which are very well priced so helps when Im on a budget when I visit my father over there in south Australia. I give the little chocolate too my son that I get with my coffee. Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome

Friends and I would visit there Friday mornings for a catch up and coffee and cake. The cake selection is soooo good!! And you get a little chocolate served on the side of your coffee. It's a great place to take a seat outside and watch the world go by while the sun is shining. Service is always great and friendly. I love a place that remembers you too
