Went there yesterday and the service and hospitality was excellent. They open up early for us as we requested from our tour guide that we love to visit the place and OMG we did not get disappointed the view was stunning, it's a must see place in McLaren Vale.

Best cellar door I've been to in a while. My partner and I had the wine and cheese pairing. Every wine was delicious. So much so we ended us becoming club members (you get two cases of wine a year). Really recommend. Staff we're knowledgable. Beautiful views too.

Visited Hugh Hamilton Wines yesterday as part of our wine tasting day. Their wines really are fabulous, but the prices are fairly high. The staff are very friendly, maybe a bit pushy with the purchasing. We didn't purchase any wine here but my wife did purchase some balsamic flavoured olive oil for dipping and also Hugh's Hot Headed chutney, which by the way, I have to recommend as it is a bit spicy and is fabulous cheese and bbq meats.

Stopped in here on our wine tasting journey loved the driveway which was lined with trees and then opening up to a fabulous cellar door with gorgeous views of the vineyards and surrounds. We were greeted by a lovely German lady who enjoyed informing us of the history of the vineyard and offering us many wines to taste. Not only do they sell wines they also have some great merchandise as well as jams, dips, oil dressings, chocolates, nuts etc. They had quite a few samples there which we tried with some warmed diced bread pieces which we used for sampling. We purchased a bottle of their "Matchetts's Storm" - absolutely delicious, this is one I recommend. My in-laws joined the Black Sheep Club - you receive wine delivieries twice a year and are invited to special member only events. I believe we spent at least one hour here looking around, talking and tasting. We really enjoyed ourselves and this is one winery I highly recommend you visit, you wont be disappointed.

Unique cellar door offering 360 degree views of vineyards. Good range of wines and local merchandise. Friendly staff and a good way to spend part of the day wine tasting. Solid winery with great history.
