Everything aspect of my experience was faultless. And at a restaurant of this calibre it is the small details that count. The surrounds were classy and comfortable. The bread was delicious. Served warm so that the butter would melt on application, it was super soft with a crunchy, salted crust and tasted freshly baked.
The Jalapeno & cheddar croquette featured a perfectly crispy exterior which encased a gorgeously cheesy centre scented by the jalapeno.
Porterhouse with garlic butter & peppered mushrooms was delightful. A well portioned main, The steak was perfectly cooked, featuring a nicely grilled exterior and succulent tenderness towards the centre. The garlic butter sauce sported a gorgeous burst of fragrant garlic and the mushrooms earthy flavours were elevated by the herbed butter.
One of my favourite dishes, however was side dish of Smoked potatoes, rainbow chard, pancetta, honey mustard. Lovely pairing. Simple yet detailed.
Last of all dessert ended the evening very sweetly with a Dark chocolate delice, walnut, coffee sponge, orange ice cream. The chocolate/orange and chocolate/coffee combo has been done so often it is quite boring. Using all three together changed it slightly and brought in some complexity. Another point of differentiation was the textural play. The delice component was comprised of a delicately thin shell with a velvety mousse underneath. The fragrant orange ice cream and fresh orange pieces and the contrast of the fresh microherbs highlighted the flavours of the chocolate element. I loved it.
Definitely recommend going. You'll love it too!

This is a terrific restaurant. The share menu is great with a wide varierty. There is plenty to choose from and the there is a lot on the plate. I would definately go back there.

Buzzy place with great view of passing, interesting foot traffic on Smith St. Sensational house made bread to begin and loads of fresh, delicious dishes including duck. Love it!
