Hyde Park Tavern

Always like this one.
It's got live music on some nights and the food menu is always changing with the seasons.
They also have a good range of craft beers that rotates

Came here last Thursday with some work colleagues for after work drinks.
Live music came on stage at one point. Music came on right on time because I had hit my zone.
They had also a large range of drinks, friend introduced me to a new drink, the spiced rum. Very different and quite unique. After having a few I don't remember much after.
All in all a great night in a standard pub.

This place is walking distance to my house I absolutely love the up market hotel, always packed with people on friday and saturday good atmosphere friendly bar and staff always polite helpful, the food is scrumptious good prices especially the snitzels..Luv it gr8 place

Found this place to be a bit overpriced for what we got. Meal portions are really small and then you pay for sides on top of that. Wine was over priced as well. Food was cooked well and tasted food but....

I attended a birthday function here in the upstairs function room. It was a fantastic evening that everyone enjoyed. The service was excellent and the staff were very happy, friendly and accommodating.

The food was a set menu with limited choices but was delicious and well presented. It was a little expensive in my opinion, but consistent with what other restaurants charge for functions.

The tables and the room in general were well presented. There was a bar in the function room and a nice little balcony outside. Unfortunately, the upstairs function room is not disability accessible (up a long, narrow staircase).

Overall, I would recommend the Hyde Park Tavern for a function.

Lunched here with a friend. The menu was more inspired and different to standard pub fare, which was good; I had a chicken pie with lovely roasted veggies which were actually real veggies not just frozen veggies boiled and thwacked onto the plate. Real care was taken to arrange the food on the plate and the pie was just sensational. My friend ordered the pasta and while we both had menu envy, we were also perfectly happy with our own dishes as well!

The prices were a little high but the food was higher quality than you'd get in a cheaper pub. You still had to go up and order at the bar though, no table service which always irks me.

We were able to sit in a little side alcove away from the 'main' bar bit with the TV's etc, with a nice window view of King William St.

Would eat here again definitely.

Like the variety and quality of the meals on the menu at their restaurant. The lamb rack that I had was just bait under cooked for me but still great. The service and attention to detail was really appreciated

The cellar for the Hyde Park Tavern caught my eye and as I needed to purchase a bottle of Jacob's Creek Riesling I went in. I was impressed with the wide range of wine and other alcohol that was available here. I easily found what I needed and friendly staff made the purchase pleasant. Happy to return another time.

Nice pub. A bit overpriced but the meals are very tasty with a varied and interesting menu. Service is friendly and quick.

The food is great. The menu caters to a broad range of tastes and is quite good value. The service is good and you usually get served quickly. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. There is a fire place burning in the winter which adds to the ambiance. Usually quite busy.
