The menu and even the taste reminds me of Manmaruya, for some reason. Chicken namban was very nice, home-made chunky mayo on top of crunchy-but-not-soggy chicken encased in lightly-sauced batter; in fact, everything in the bento was nice, down to the grated pear on the salad. (Though the salmon sashimi was a funny cut..) Miso ramen was alright. Preferred the rice to the ramen. Portions were normal, not large but not particularly small either. Prices ranged from $10.80 (ramen and some cheaper donburi, I think) to $17.80 (bento) or more.
Approximate cost: $13
Visited this Japanese restaurant quite regularly. It is located opposite of Eastwood station.
I have called them to place orders to pick up and usually within 15 minutes the meals would be ready (even during busy dinner period). So I just paid and picked up from the restaurant. Very reasonably priced.
Staff are always friendly and no issues with their customer service. They even served me with a cup of green tea while I was waiting for my take away order once.
The usual meals we order here are the ramen and chicken namban box or just the meal by itself. The chicken namban is my favourite here, the creamy egg mayonnaise on top of the chicken karaage is absolute delish. Topped with plenty of green onions or shallots hehe.
Was here for lunch with a large group of girlfriends. The lunch box special is $11.50 which is good value with 3pcs sushi, salad, seaweed rice & meat of your choice. We had teriyaki chicken. Shared a party sushi & sashimi, takoyaki, cheese chicken katsu and assorted tempura. Service was alright but the tempura was missed out so we had to wait for it after we finished all the other dishes which was an anti-climax.
Approximate cost: $14
Missing out the tempura seems a bit of a shame, but what you got seems like good value. I've come here before, and the good is pretty tasty for the price, and the portion size is large enough.
I went here last Saturday night with several friends. They stay open until after 9pm, and we got there late, so that's when we started ordering. At that time, the place was not too crowded, and the food came within 20 minutes. I ordered a Tofu Ramen, which cost $12.80. It was filling and delicious.
Approximate cost: $15
