The few times I went to the Richmond store (weekend) absolutely hated the traffic congestion! It was almost impossible to find parking and then good luck to get out.... took forever. And the line to make a purchase was massive. Vowed I would not go again.

However the Springvale store is the complete opposite! Heaps of parking spaces and not as daunting as the Richmond store. Much better!

When IKEA opened up right near my house I thought I was going to waste a lot of money there, buying things I would never use. Fortunately, I'm happy to say, that everything I have bought there, I use to this day. Things like: Storage boxes, desk lamp, portable table, picture frames. I even managed to pick up a huge peace lilly for 9.95 which looks great on my work desk a year later.

IKEA have an amazing range of furniture and housewares. Their items are all of good quality and excellent value. The only problem I have is that they make you walk a large distance (even if you take all the shortcuts) through the store even if you only want to pick up 1 or 2 items.

I love the concept of the IKEA stores and hated having to drive out to Richmond all the time. Springvale also has plenty of parking space and you don't have to pay for it. Going through the massive store can be daunting but there is plenty of staff around every corner.
Only complaint is the mothers clubs that get in the way with their prams all in groups. I was shopping with a friend who was furnishing her new house so we were there quite a lot and noticed the traffic of mothers clubs on the morning of weekdays. Not a complaint of the company itself though.

The Springvale store is sooooo much better than the Richmond one. The store is less crowded, parking is free and it's very easy to find a park. We live about the same distance from both stores and I will never be going back to the Richmond one again. Big fan of Ikea products and this new store. Bought a new dining table and chairs - looks great and was a great price!

Had to make 3 trips to complete our purchase. Had to go back once because they were out of stock on the floor. They had stock but it was up high in storage and they only get items down overnight. Second trip back was due to staff member in Bedding Dept left an item off the picking list. I entered some feedback on one of their terminals near the registers, but I've never heard from them.

Wow, what a shopping experience this is. The store is massive and easy to get around. The food is good value for money with free coffee for Ikea members. The children's play area is well organized by friendly staff.

Ikea's products are fun, colourful, unique and affordable. They have great little ideas in their products and help you think of more creative ways of decorating your space and everything around...I just love how they think of little things and make them look beautiful..like a colourful flower pot,a bright coloured lamp, and so on..
