My friends and I gather here occasionally to catch up. We order a variety of dishes and share them. I always make sure there is a estate or beef in black bean sauce as these are my favorites but I like all their dishes.
Service is good for Chinese with the waitresses smiling and offering the occasional suggestion if asked.
It is a bit more expensive than orher eastern themed restaurants but all Chinese restaurants are.
Since reopening under new owners and completely refurbished this formerly tiring but good restaurant has risen to unexpected heights. The daily yum cha was very good but it is now excellent. Their steamed dumplings have fine pastry, and Shangai pork dumpling are especially good. Scallop and prawn dishes abound the variety is enormous, They probably over 150 dishes and they're all goog or better than that. They are also specializing in crab, lobster and abalone. We had a spectacular lobster dish partly served as sashimi and the rest of the lobster steamed in the traditional manner with ginger and shallots on a bed of noodles. They are awaiting a liquor licence. Prices are in the median range but the food is superior. Staff are enthusiastic and the place has been busy ever since it reopened.
A regular weekend YumCha place. Pricing is fair and service is usually good although they tend to be busy and can be slow at times due to the fairly large space. I always find myself eyeing the dimsum carts. Food is really good though and mango pudding is a must have for dessert.
Approximate cost: $20
Been here few times for the yum cha because we happened to have discount vouchers for this place. Otherwise this place wouldn't be my first choice for yum cha. The quality of food is pretty average. The trolley pushers are a bit lazy and if you sit further from the hallway, be prepared to starve. They'll just walk past your table and not offer any foods from their trolleys.
best yumcha spot but also the expensive one i guess what you pay is what you get really creative with their dishes always packed customer service is ok cause of the number of customers they get
Been a couple of times but never again. Found a wire in our food! My parter nealry cut the inside of her mouth. Would also be good if they cleaned the place every once in a while. When we went to pay we were still chaged the full amount of the food even though we complained and left straight away. Dodgy and cheap if you ask me!
Approximate cost: $50
The yumcha is one of the best in Melbourne. The bad thing is they always start serving you with deep fried dishes. When you reach the steam dishes, you are always almost full. The steam dishes are great and must try the oyster sauce green vege (chinese brocoli)
Only go to this restaurant for yum cha. The egg tarts and BBQ pork buns are always delicious, never a let-down.
The service is usually quick and food is good quality with some more unusual dishes such as eel on the menu. We have always really enjoyed ourselves and the yum cha is great!
Approximate cost: $17
I booked here for dinner as it was in the entertainment book and was pleased I did! the Chinese food was very good and we found the waitress to be friendly and efficient.
