Inspect Direct

Following what - to my relatively inexperienced eye - looked like roofing and building works of poor quality, plus damage to my house caused by a 'roofing and home improvement' company, I engaged Inspect Direct Pty Ltd to inspect the works. The inspection service provided was punctual, reliable and efficient . I initially asked for a brief, overview report which was very promptly emailed to me. The subsequent detailed, written report was accurate, comprehensive and included numerous photos of the substandard works which clearly identified the damage and defective works. I subsequently requested a costing for the rectification works now required to repair the substandard works and the damaged caused . Inspect Direct Pty Ltd provided a very detailed costing covering all aspects (trades, materials, quantities etc) of the required rectification works. I have used Inspect Direct Pty Ltd previously and have found their building inspections and reports to be extremely good. I wouldn't hesitate to use Inspect Direct Pty Ltd again and would recommend them for thorough, investigative reports by qualified and highly experienced architects/registered building inspectors. Inspect Direct Pty Ltd is also highly experienced in the provision of VCAT compliant reports and in the provision of expert witness attendance at the VCAT if substandard, faulty building works require adjudication at a VCAT hearing.

I engage [redacted name] to do the final inspection for my house.
He is in rush to prepare poor quality report by listing a number of defects in the beginning and then add a few photos in the end of report. By doing this, it is easy for him to complete a report. However, it is hard for me to understand which photo matches which defect. It is impossible for me to chase up with the builder later on.
Then I spoke to [redacted name] about this issue. He said this report is totally fine from his point view. He forgets I am the customer who pays him to write a report with decent quality. He also hangs up the phone and is very rude over the phone.
Try to get away from this inspector if you want someone who thinks of customer first.
