Really interesting modern thai. The atmosphere is quite traditional in the sense of a slightly spiritual feel, lovely respectful service, traditional thai touches & decor.
The food itself is very modern in terms of the ideas, but it is served in the traditional fine dining thai way, with a lot of effort put into the presentation. Ie. lotus dumplings come moulded in lotus flower shapes which contain a plump & delicious filling of beef, grilled oysters served in a special dish similar to french snail platter with each oyster sitting in its own pool of spiced lime and lemongrass dressing. To end, we had the pandan barvarois with Kahlua syrup. The kahlua went perfectly with the pandan like ying & yang. It had a lovely smooth, slightly creamy and yet bounce in texture, a great, not overly sweet dessert.
I enjoyed my meal here. Not usually into Thai after I had a bad experience somewhere else, but this food is delicious and fresh.
One the best quality Thai food places in Melbourne. The quality of food is excellent as is the service. Atmosphere/setting is very good. Every dish was tasty and prepared with quality ingredients.
Approximate cost: $25
The food is amazingly. From the taste to the incredible presentation. The service cannot be faulted. It is simply the best Thai restaurant I have ever been too. It is not a casual affair, however perfect for those special occassions. You wont be disappointed.
Approximate cost: $21.50-32.50
