I went there one time for a lesson in Math Methods and I hated it. Honestly for a teacher, I found it horrible that he can pull out a "nightclub" joke with "chicks". He also talks relatively slow. In the 2 hours I had there, the teacher went through examples and 5 out of 12 questions. In the mean time, I sat there for 30-45 mins wondering what to do as I had already finished all the questions with relative ease.

Also to note, the kid sitting next to me was playing games on his phone and there was an old guy cleaning outside the study area. He had 20 boxes of tissues at the front (and yes I counted) and about 10-15 tables stacked int he corner.

So, terrible work environment and a waste of time. That is if you already know your stuff. I've been to other tutors and they were heaps better with better accreditations to their name and honestly, I would much rather go to my school teacher for a one-on-one for free than go to this place again.

The only positives is that it's decent value for money and you benefit from it if you're a completely new to the topic at hand.

Approximate cost: $25

Best value for money when it comes to tutoring for year 12 students studying Specialist Maths, Maths Methods, Physics and Chemistry.

Jack gives out weekly notes and questions at the beginning of class and goes through them in detail for the duration of the class which is located in his renovated garage.

Class sizes varies from 40-60 and students may be turned away when the room is too full, however, this usually only occurs just before exam periods starts.

The class is pretty fast paced and doesn't allow room for students to ask questions, not that you would really need to ask many anyways, since his notes and explainations are very thorough.

The room is fully air conditioned and heated, so students are usually very comfortable, temperature wise. When JAck senses that students are starting to fall asleep or get restless, he'll crack a few of his infamous 'ex-girlfriend' jokes to liven up the room.

Approximate cost: $20/2 hour lesson

Notes and questions are useful and comprehensive. Useful for students who require assistance in grappling basic concepts. His classes are interesting, explanations generally clear and he makes the work fun. Classes can be awfully cramped and overcrowded - students can be turned away if more than 60 show up (no room).

Approximate cost: $20 per lesson

Very good and in depth tutoring for most VCE subjects. Although classes can be somewhat cramped and crowded at times, but notes are in depth and well organized and are very helpful in terms of academically excelling students.
