Went there on the weekend for dinner and drinks. Food was delicious, though a little over priced for some items. Beers are always good, great selection to choose from. We sat int he upstairs bar area which was nice and had a great atmosphere.

We had some drinks & nibbles here before a comedy show we were going to upstairs at the Portland Hotel. At the start, it took longer than one would expect to be seated ... we stood at one of the entrances for several minutes, then another set of people came in through the street door and got seated right away before us. I must admit though, after that - the service was much more prompt and engaging. The food was pretty standard pub food, it was just dressed up a little better than most. We had the dips & bread (okay), onion rings (average), fries (okay), and chicken wings (okay). The ales were pretty good, the wine was good. The place was packed & pumpin' by the time we left (at about 6.50pm) to be seated for the comedy show. This place is supposed to have the best parma, but none of us ordered it - so can't comment there. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if you're meeting friends before a show nearby, it's a decent place to meet up and chat :)

Had a few drinks and meals in the Brewhouse and have always been happy with the quality and the service. James Squire beers are always outstanding so its great to have a big range of them on tap. Good pool area up the back as well.

From walking in to walking out (which I pretty much wanted to do after we had our first 'encounter' with the staff) it was a total disaster. Rude staff who seemed to have better things to do than serve their customers stood talking to each other behind the bar, ignoring me and three other people waiting. When they finally decided to tend to us, we were told that they'd run out of the meal that was part of their Sunday promotion, and weren't prepared to change it to another option to honour the deal. When our meals finally did arrive (after being chased up twice over an hour period), my hamburger was raw in the middle and inedible. I was told that they would replace the meal, not refund it but by that stage, we were all so over it, noone wanted to wait for another (inedible) meal to be brought out. No apology was made and overall, it was a really disappointing experience ESPECIALLY considering how many really amazing restaurants Melbourne has to offer.

Been here way too many times! Keep going back because the beer is fantastic. Always fresh and plenty of different ones to choose from. They do decent food in the pub and better meals in the restaurant next door as well. They have a variety of sport playing on a few TVs. Good pub atmosphere.

A great drinking hole located in the heart of the city. Atmosphere is terrific especially on a Friday night for after work drinks. Shouts can be a little pricey though if there are a few of you!

I couldn't say enough for this place - its a great place to come for a drink after work and to knock back a few pints, they do a good parma here not too big not too small, they have a large range of beers also

Approximate cost: $20
