10 reviews about Japanese Teppanyaki Inn

Worth splashing out and going to this place for teppanyaki instead of the ones with theatrics thrown in. No I don't want food thrown at me and no I really don't need that entertainment. Don't scrimp and get the beef tenderloin, pay the extra $20 for wagyu. It is worth it. Melt in your mouth good. This place is quality but I felt full with the vegetables provided. I don't think it was overpriced. Not sure where previous reviewer is going in Melbourne to get better Teppanyaki, if you know please share.

This has got to be one of the best teppanyaki places in Melbourne owned and run by real Japanese. They use the best ingredients, the biggest scallops I have seen. Go there for lunch teppanyaki as it is much cheaper. Quality is unbeaten

Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree with your comments, except it has always been owned by an Aussie. It was the first if its kind in Australia. The addition of the potatoes in the banquet is one of the best parts, although that's not traditional Japanese & more westernised.

Hadn't been here in a lot of years and was pleased to find it hasn't changed too much. Still great service, fantastic food and good atmosphere.
The chefs aren't as animated as they used to be - used to put on quite a display with their utensils, but it's the food, not the entertainment that draws people back here.
The quality and quantity of food is worth every dollar.
If you're wanting to catch your food - don't come here - this is teppanyaki with style. Food for the enjoyment of eating, not catching, and plenty of it. We couldn't finish our meals.

Not often when you have a dining experience that is classy, great tasting, value for money (a bit pricey) and just fun. The service was great and the result pefect. Cannot really ask for more.
