I completely agree with the below review. Melbourne speed date is a sham. I paid them and they never sent me any confirmation or any messages and when i called they claimed they never received payment even though it has been charged and taken from my bank account. I am taking this up with Consumer Affairs. I wonder how many other people they have dupped.
Nothing like the real thing. terrible food at very high prices and small servings. There are other better German restaurants in Melbourne. This place cheats the unassuming tourist. I am a local and this place has the be one of the worst places I have eaten at. I had a pork meal and the skin was tough and meat dry and very salty with little taste. The red cabbage that came with the meal tasted like something out of a supermarket tin can. The food wasn't even fresh either.
This place can get quite busy on Saturday nights. I was here to celebrate my mums birthday a few weeks ago. The food was quite rough and amateurish and service was mediocre but it was fairly good value. We had the pasta and chicken main. This is located near the Hoyts cinemas so there were heaps of people around nearby.
This place has the same name as the one in Westfield Doncaster Shoppingtown but service is a big difference. The service at this place is extremely mediocre if even that. Doncaster one is quite good for a Chinese restaurant. Wonton house however has really good and quick dim sums. I especially like the Durian puffs. It is situated right next to the Cinemas so great for a pre movie snack.
Tried this place on a Groupon voucher for the stone grill set dinner. Entree had the prawns delight and gyoza which were nice and well presented. The gyoza looked freshly made whilst the prawns looked frozen. The mains were stone grilled porterhouse steak and Norwegeian salmon which were both very fresh and the idea of cooking it yourself on your own stone plate was fun. The stone is really hot and stays hot througout the meal. The mains come with chips and salads on the side. The desserts were sorbet which looked purchased elsewhere and vanilla icecream. This was a fun dinner. My hair however smelt of smoke right through tot he next day though.
Love this place for their drinks, ambience and service. My friend was not feeling well that night and only drank peppermint tea and the waitress was really understanding with that.
this place has been here for years. They make great flat whites and spaghettis/pastas. It is usually quite busy as it is popular with Melb uni students. reasonably priced as well,
I've been to a number of churches before settling on this one. It is fairly modern in thinking and fairly small so you get to socialise unlike those mega churches where it is difficul to meet new friends.
Huge restaurant with plenty of parking. They have $15 lunch specials which are pretty good but I wouldn't come here for dinner as it is fairly pricey and food and service is fairly average for what you are paying.
I highly recommend their pizzas they are wood fired ones. This place has corner location on High Street in a fairly quiet strip of shops. It has a casual environment and a lot of parking.
