We are long-term dancers at the Jim Welsh studio. The instructors all have excellent knowledge of their areas and most are excellent teachers. The atmosphere is fun and private lessons are not too expensive, especially when split between a small group of friends. No partner is needed as the instructors are so friendly they will get you dancing in no time!
Group classes are also available as well as a very friendly social night at incredibly reasonable rates.
Approximate cost: $8 group classes, ~33 private lessons
We had a few dance lessons here prior to our wedding last year. Kaylene was incredibly patient and positive. She worked with us on our goal, on our terms and made us feel very comfortable throughout. And, thankfully, we pulled it off on the night.

I have never been to a worse dance studio. Melbourne is the place to be for dance. I gave up dancing when I moved to Ballarat because there was nowhere good to learn Ballroom/latin. They don't even do comps. Thats the most exiting thing about it all.
