Since moving to Ballarat in 2004 I have been waiting for the day Hudsons Coffee came here. At last that day has arrived! For those who aren't aware, Hudsons is a Melbourne-owned company (unlike other popular coffee chains). The new Ballarat store opened a few days ago and the coffee is of course delicious, as one would expect, but more that than the staff have been really helpful and lovely regarding the difficulties we've had trying to buy coffee card credit there. Loading the credit onto the cards has been difficult and with eveything being new it hasn't gone smoothly. Today the owner insisted on compensating me with coffee for the minor inconvenience while they correct the apparent computer glitch. I'll be a regular there and couldn't recommend it more!

Went to dinner here in a group of 18 last night. From start to finish the service was fantastic, lots of choices, the glass never empty for long before being offered another, and the food was fantastic. I had a cajun barramundi with garlic mash and avocado and mango salsa, which was absolutely delicious. Everyone's meals looked delicious, the menu is seasonal and the service is smooth and efficient, without even noticing - which is the best kind. Sensational hot chocolate to put the icing on the cake.

Spent many an evening here for drinks, but actually stayed for dinner the other night, which was really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and the winelist is pretty comprehensive. Worth a look in for dinner, always great for drinks.

I love Jasmine Thai. We eat here whenever we have guests staying as the food is delicious, the menu vast and the service fabulous. Favourites include the satay and the phad thai. The decor is a little retro and the price is not cheap but don't be put off, the food is worth every penny. BYO only.

I've never eaten in but often had take away, and the food from this place is great. Very reasonable prices, quite a range of options on the menu. The veggies are fresh and delicious and they are very willing to accommodate special requests, such as additions or subtractions to menu items. They also home deliver.

Davini's make great gourmet woodoven pizza's and fairly flash italian food, much more than your run of the mill spagetti... The service is good and the meals are very reasonably priced. What's more is that they have gelati, tiramisu and other italian treats for after. Can get busy and a bit noisy in the evenings, but usually don't have to book.

I've been here for lunch and dinner and enjoyed it thoroughly each time. I also hosted a party here in their basement cellar. On each occasion the service has been impeccable, the food delicious and the coffee fabulous. Also has a great wine list. The tapas are very popular, however there aren't that many vegetarian tapas options, although there are plenty of vegetarian meal options and the staff are flexible and obliging for special requests.

I had a very unfortunate experience at this takeaway shop on Monday. I've been here before and it's been great, so I was very surprised.
I ordered a grilled flake and chips, which were both very disappointing. The fish was around 20-25mm thick, and would have served better to drive on instead of tyres. It was extremely rubbery and chewy. I ended up throwing it out, not even good enough for the dog :( The chips were also very dry and rubbery. Overall an extremely disappointing experience from a shop that used to be great....

These vets are great. Whenever we have taken our dog there (even after hours) they are so caring, gentle and patient. They explain everything, give options, the price is always fair and we know our dog is in good hands.

We had a few dance lessons here prior to our wedding last year. Kaylene was incredibly patient and positive. She worked with us on our goal, on our terms and made us feel very comfortable throughout. And, thankfully, we pulled it off on the night.
