The best fish and hand cut chips you will find for the price. We are weekly devotees of this place. Best service too!

This would hands down be the best fish and chips I have had and at a price you won't believe, it's so fresh and tasty. I will be telling everyone about this place and definitely be back.

Been coming here for years, always fresh, always top quality and the chips are real. Try the barra, tastes like it came off the hook this morning.

Finally, all is not lost....actual chips, not frozen but hand cut and fresh well cooked fish. I thought I was in Melbourne or Sydney but I checked. Yup I am in Inglewood in Perth. Thank you John there is one decent old fashioned fish & chips shop in this town and it doesn't cost $20 or even $10!! $7.50 for a serve of fish & chips...bloody amazing

Approximate cost: $7.50

Whilst all of the glam shops with their frozen chips get the rave reviews places like this where you can buy REAL fish and chips are overlooked. The best deal in Perth...beats the frozen chips brigade easily. Well done.

Approximate cost: $9

great place, have been going here for at least 15 years, even when we moved far away we still travelled to get these fish and chips. The chips are real! not frozen, the prices are basically a steal! a business that has been running for over 70 years. Keep it going!!!

totally agree, unfortunately the city of stirling does not care a crap about long running businesses and choose to block full view of this gem.

This is my sister's fav fish and chip shop and she travels from Osborne Park to get here. I prefer my chips crispier than John does them. However, you can't beat John's for quantity of chips. You could feed an army, so if you have a lot of kids this is your mecca. Its my 2nd choice for F&C. You need to like your chips 'soggy' (oily) is all I'll say.

Used to go here all the time but when we moved, we went to a closer place for our fish and chips. Our regular was closed so we tried John's again. I was really happy - the grilled fish was just divine! Servings were generous, menu was pretty standard, classic choices. Chips were good.

The business has been running for 63 years so it's a bit of a local institution! Very happy and will be using John's as our regular now, even though it's a bit further than our usual.
