Have been going to this salon now for 15 yrs and never been disappointed. I'm always happy to drive from hawthorn to the salon at southland .The professional staff ( Garth, Anthony, Angelo , Jess, Marie and Amee) are always willing to help out. They always consult me about the new hair trends. They always listen to my ideas and fulfill them everytime. The staff always make me comfortable and i see that they are a great group of hairdressers. For great services and excellent styling can HIGHLY RECOMMEND mend. From $50-$70 for my cut to $250 when i have my colours done , this salon always delivers .

I have been looking for a new salon after recently moving into the area and was tired of cheap cuts and production line salons that you usually find in shopping centres- It was wonderful to find this salon! The staff were very professional, friendly and even gave me a 20 minute consultation before even starting the service.It is so refreshing to find someone that will listen to what you want and then make recommendations out of professional care and experience and then come to a decision - with my consent of course in order to make sure I was totally happy. I had foils and a sassy new style and blow wave and was very happy with the result. It was not cheap but good value for money as a lot of care was taken. In the past I have paid a fortune but got no where near the professional attention or result. What a great find! no wonder they have been around in Southland for 33 years! WOW!1

Had a colour from dark to blonde. It was beautiful, just what I wanted> I have very fine hair and it has been very damaged by hairdressers in the past - even broken! But every care was taken and I have the colour I wanted and hair in good condition! The styling and blow-wave were also good. It was worth every bit I paid for the service and expertise! Great staff and wonderful atmosphere. I will travel from the city to this salon any time!

never EVER AGAIN

I asked for an ash colour to cover my shoulder length brown soft hair. I have frizzy, dry hair that wont curl (I am naturally curly), strip gaps where they foils were not placed correctly. all for $404! Yup that right. $404. I nearly died. Yes I did purchase $100 worth of product - that did not do what it was supposed to do..... I am absolutely furious.
Not only will I NEVER GO BACK, I will spend the rest of my days warning people to STAY AWAY!!!!!

Worst haircut experience I've ever had. No care taken. Cut is uneven and the style fell out by the time I got home. Horribly overpriced. Will never be back

Great salon always friendly always listen to what I want , took awhile to find a place I trust with my hair !!

Decent service, polite, with good conversation. However, that's as good as my experience got.

The stylist took way more length off my hair than instructed. It is uneven too, so now I look like a middle aged bloke desperately trying to cling on to the last of his hair.

When I made it clear that I wasn't entirely happy with the cut, there was no apology or even any kind of bad feeling from the stylist, who still demanded I pay $45 with no apology or freebies.

Never again.

My hair is dark brown and above shoulder length and I asked for a full set of foils, 3 shades lighter and a little bit of gray root touch up between the foils. What they did is far from full head of foils. The foils finished a little bit passed my crown. The colour wasn't that even either and they didn't get close to the roots so I already had regrowth. They make out they are a quality salon but are no better than the cheaper ones. Save your money and go somewhere else.
