Extremely Poor Service – Avoid at All Costs

Took my AMG to Karworx in Collingwood for engine shaking and engine light issues. They charged me \$2,000 claiming it was fixed, but the exact same issue happened the next day during a country drive — engine shaking, light on, car stranded. I had to tow it back at my own cost.

Despite promising not to charge me again, they replaced parts I never approved and billed me another \$1,320 — still didn’t fix the actual issue.

Fed up, I went to an authorised Mercedes-AMG centre who diagnosed the real problem in a day: misfire in cylinder 1 caused by poor-quality aftermarket parts. Since then, no issues at all.

Also submitted a complaint on Karworx’s site — no reply, no accountability.

Unprofessional, expensive, and completely incompetent. Don’t risk your car here.

Have used this mechanical for many years and they always seem to know exactly what the issue is just be driving the car. Great experience and service I highly recommend them and I am certain they can ascertain the issue quickly.

I took my car for a checkup. The service was extraordinary good. The service was friendly. The price was right. If you want a good workshop drive the extra mile to this business

I have been to these guys twice, the first time they did a decarbonising of the intake manifold, then 6 months later they tried to do it again not realizing they had already done it they tried telling me it needs to be done annually, but I already had it done 6 months ago! Another thing is they clearly state they are open on Saturdays on their website, business cards and invoices but on my second service I couldn't book a Saturday as they all of a sudden do not open on Saturdays. Truly the epitome of what we all think mechanics are like.

Well they're not that expensive - I'll give them that. But they weren't exactly thorough on tuning up our car. And in fact whenever we took it to them it seemed to come back to us in a worse state than before.
