Lovely spot in trendy area. Good coffee and quite tasty food. The salads are very nice and the eggs are good too. Had mine with avocado and feta cheese. Yum. A little expensive though.

Approximate cost: $17

Small cafe in Surry Hills, good for people watching and well-known for organic food. However, organic means premium and this is reflected in Kawa's prices. I ordered their signature chicken meatball sandwich which looked huge, thanks to the generous sourdough slices. On closer inspection though, the filling consisted of 2 small meatballs sliced thinly. Given the uneven bread-meatball balance, I could only taste sourdough. Which is fine but for that price, I'd like to taste some chicken too, thankyouverymuch. Coffe was good. In short, lovely location with quality food but doubt I'd return to Kawa since Surry Hills is a cafe mecca.

Approximate cost: $20
