A nice place to break the drive home from York Peninsular. We had meat pies, muffin, apricot turnover and a vanilla slice. Couldn't fault any of the food it was delicious. The pastry was flaky and the seem to be very popular. The staff were ok not too interested really but they are run off their feet for sure.

After a couple of hours of driving I needed a food fix, it was just what i needed, well I was hoping. Staff were NOT friendly, service was slow and I was their only customer!!!! As for my pie, well, not great, didn't impress me, almost tasteless, didn't finish it. Had to stop elsewhere, was not happy. WIll NOT return.

Kiplings Bakery is seriously one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. Every time we travel to Moonta or Kadina, we stop off at this bakery on the way and again on the way home. I have never met anyone who hasnt had a great experience at this bakery. They are always busy and I do not know how the surrounding bakeries survive because they are the best!

We had a negative bakery experience on the way through Port Wakefield at another bakery but thought we might give 1 of the others a try....as to our astonishment, there are 4 bakeries in this township. We thought we might try this bakery as we came back towards Adelaide, because the name attracted us and happy customers sitting at front of shop. We were not disappointed! Good 'old-fashioned' yellow tinge pastry pies.....YUM....I thought, and they were DELICIOUS! The girls were absolutely attentive, polite and sweet. We will be sure to come again girls, thank you for making our last lunchtime for the trip so delicious....you make a difference!

In 2012 when I made this review, there were 4 Bakeries in this township - 3 of them on the main road and one in a side street off the main road - not sure about now. I have reviewed one other bakery in Port Wakefied, not so good.

Kipling's Bakery, the best Bakery in Port Wakefield or should I say one of the best bakeries in SA. Best veggie pasties, and the BEST Potato Pies you can get no where else better then Kipling's. If your passing through, want a bite to eat & drink, drop past Kipling's bakery and you'll be satisfied

For anyone who has passed through Port Wakefield, maybe on your way to holidays on the lovely Yorke Peninsula, you will know it is quite a popular stop point for food, petrol, amenities etc. Keep an eye out for this little bakery, it will be the one with the line up out to the street! Very popular with those in the know. The savoury and sweet pastries etc are fantastic and you will probably choose your next trip in that direction next time just for a good excuse to stop at Kiplings again.
