Fortunately for me I'm not very familiar with hospital stays but in this day and age I would have thought that hospital food would have graduated from the stodgy "meat and three veg" era. Even though there was a menu to follow the food delivered was way below appetizing. There are definitely no "master chefs " in that kitchen! I was in the orthopedic ward. The staff are good but response times are pretty slow and I wonder about information handover between doctor and nurses and change of shifts. My stay was only an overnighter so perhaps I was there on a bad day.
In the last 14 months l have been in private hospitals (3), Knox private in my opinion has been the best, could not fault any dept, staff are friendly, nursing staff are not running riot making u feel uncomfortable to call for assistance. Although l live 1 hour away and there is another private hospital only 15 min from my home if l have to come back into hospital l will without any hesitation choose to come back to Knox private. Keep up the good work
Service was really bad. The bed was so uncomfortable. Food was horrible than other hospitals. Not worth it!
Approximate cost: $250
Absolute shocker. Squeezed into a room with 3 other men in an area suitable for only 2. Thank goodness only there for 24 hours. Impossible to sleep. Third world accommodation in a supposed quality private hospital. What's the point of investing in private health insurance to cop this rubbish?
Absolutely, rubbish I'll put in formal complain to the head if department
If I could give no star I would for this hospital. I found staff to be extremely inattentive, and some arrogant and rude with no concern for patient comfort, this is highly inappropriate in a clinical setting
i went her recently for a cardiology appointment. on my way there i was stopped by 2 different staff members who offered me directions without even asking. what service
Good hospital have been here a few times
We admitted my mother into this hospital thinking private is the way to go to get better service etc, boy were we wrong. They are short staffed, you press the buzzer & no one comes for 10 minutes, doctors rush through & don't give you the time of the day. She was in the hospital for 6 weeks & I saw everything during the 6 weeks, you are just another number & I believe public hospitals such as Monash have more staff & more equipment, so what if you are in a room with another person, Knox is just a luxurious hospital without enough nurses.
I had my second baby at Knox Private Hospital. The staff there were very professional in the delivery of my child and were very helpful afterwards.
When both my Mum and Nana were in the hospital as patients, the staff at Knox helped them a lot.
I was admitted for a broken leg last year. I had a mixed experience at Knox. The room was fine, the food was ok, the nurses were nice but it took ages to get pain relief or nurse support. I don't think that was a reflection on the nurses there just wasn't enough of them. Unfortunately the physiotherapist I dealt with was rude, very pushy and lacked awarness of the pain and trauma of a recently broken limb. Overall I was disappointed with my experience of Knox. I naively and wrongly assumed that going private would be a better quality hospital experience
Delivered 2 babies at Knox Private and both times was given injections post labour without permission. Dissapointing effort by the midwives. With my second delivery my OB was not even notified that I had arrived until 10 minutes before my baby was delivered and then (surprise!) she did not make it in time.
I must say though- Food is AWESOME! Midwives were attentive and helpful post delivery with establishing breastfeeding
