Just walked in here for the first time to find that not only is the food awesome, but they also run a buffet every Friday and Saturday. 15 bux. Friendly and helpful staff who provided a complementary tea.

It's an ethiopean restaurant, and fairly authentic too. From the unique house-made Ful (richly spiced broad bean stew cooked in a tomato and onion base, topped with sliced, hard-boiled eggs and green chilli) that's eaten with crusty bread rolls acting as utensils to mop/scoop up the Ful. At $12, this could have been a meal for one - certainly filling & nutritious enough!
Konjo is apparently quite well known for its coffee experience - similar to a japanese tea ceremony but with coffee. I haven't tried it, but the description sounded very cool.

This was my first try at having African cuisine and so I went in with an open mind. This place was highly recommended to me by server all friends and colleagues and I can confidently say that it certainly deserves the high praises I have heard people sing of it.

Dining at this restaurant is an experience as soon as you walk in. I was with group of work colleagues and we decided on ordering the platters of food which consisted of the traditional Ethiopian bread and a selection of delicious meat curries and condiments from the menu. We were served a calming and fragrant tea - similar to chai - while we waited for our food.

We ate the food with our hands using the bread to scoop up the African cuisine before us - it was simply delicious and packed full of flavours and spices. If your a fan of spicy food you will love it!

We were treated to a traditional coffee ceremony where they roast coffee beans. The coffee aroma mixed with the buring insence drifted throughout the cafe and was very relaxing. We were served some Ethiopian espresso at the end of our meal and it was a great way to finish it off.

Will definitely come back here again for sure!
