The slab cakes here are so divine and addictive but the cost will limit your cravings before you can go into a sugar overload.

YUM!! The selection of cakes here makes it very hard to decide what to have as they are all so delicious. You buy by weight and a small serve is more than enough. A great after dinner treat to have with your coffee here

Kurtosh Cafe is a lovely cafe, it is not a big cafe, but it has a lot to offer. Kurtosh Cafe sells a wide variety of cakes, including their famous strawberry sponge cake, cheesecakes, brownies and mousse cakes. The cakes are actually sold per weight, which is genius if you want to try a variety of cakes. I bought the hazelnut torte and the strawberry sponge cake, both were very delicious. The service was a tad scattered, there were a lot of staff at the counter, but they seemed to be busy with other things, took us a while to get served.

The selection of cakes here is amazing! Cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, tea cakes, pastries, dobosh cake, nut slices, blondies, brownies... You name it, they have it. The cakes are delicious. The pay-per-weight style works well as you can try small slices of a few cakes, or even buy a normal cake-sized slab to take home for afternoon tea. Mediocre coffee, and the savoury pastries aren't great, but the cake really is the point!

Their cakes are delicious and they have a huge variety in the shop - from slabs of cheesecakes to mudcakes and teacakes, they have them! The good thing about them is that you don't need to buy a big slice, they sell the cakes by the weight so you can have a small piece of different cakes! The cakes can be a bit expensive though. I highly recommend the apricot teacake and the blondie for a chocolate flavoured cake but not too sweet and still has the texture of a brownie.. They also sell amazing pastry and coffee. The atmosphere is great, small but very nice for a catch up.

Approximate cost: $10

Authentic hungarina bakery with good cafe. the scrolls are unique and yummy. Although at the spot it is off the main street which makes it a little less noisy.

Approximate cost: $15
