The Cafe restaurant is on the lake at Springfield lakes, which is a lovely place to eat. The quality of the food is very good, although the menu choice is disappointing as there is not a lot of variety, especially on the lunch menu. However all is forgiven when you taste their chips.

Lovely location right by the lake with option to sit indoor or out. Nice selection of food and drinks on offer. Not cheap but not excessively expensive either. Nice family atmostphere. Friendly service.

I visited there with my young son one day - the owner was outside sitting at one of the tables talking to what were probably friends of hers, and i stood in front of the counter in full view of the owner sitting outside, waiting to be served for over 10 minutes being totalling ignored before i decided to forget it.
On another occasion i decided to give it a second go with my daughter who was doing an assignment for school on local eateries - we arrived about 3.30pm (apparently it closes at 4pm weekdays) to be greeted (?) by a young girl vacuuming who looked up from her duties at us with a very cross disposition and a big sigh when i asked if she could serve us a cup of tea and a milkshake..... which she did rather gruffly and obviously not happy at all at having to serve us - unbelievable shocking customer service, horrific prices and a complete waste of a fantastic spot, which if owned and run very differently we would frequent every weekend = can't undertstand how they are still in business.

What a waste of a great space! This restaurant has prime real estate directly on the lake with a great outdoor dining area, but the terrible service and overpriced (though not overly tasty) meals are not worth it just for a pleasant place to sit. Good luck getting a coffee in less than half an hour, and if you're planning to go for a whole meal -- plan to be there half a day!

Could there be a better place to have breakfast, a coffee or late lunch. This restaurant is gorgeous. Great menu. Lovely staff - very professional. I could sit there all day.

I called in late one Friday afternoon for a coffee beside the lake stood at the end of the counter as the lady was talking to a gentleman over the counter ten minutes passed we were still not spoken to take our order moved closer the the counter the lady continued her conversation ignoring us completely for onother five minutes then said we are closed a great way to treat locals
