What is not to like? Mushroom sauce rocks, T Bone is done to perfection, and the caeser salad with chicken is done perfectly, ashame other La Porchettas don't live up to the same reputation, but kid friendly and yummy

Its always good value normally quick service and for Carlton parking is much better
than Lygon St.! Reasonable variety of food that suits most of the family providing you all like some sort of Italian!

La Porchettas is what it is. Cheap, fast and filling. Don't expect haute cuisine. You're in the wrong place. But if you want a meal that is not too bad and the price will amaze, you will come away happy. When we were students we would eat here up to 3 times a week on their $4.90 pastas (sadly a thing of the past) But still really great value. Service can be a little brusk at times.

great pizza, very friendly staff! of the carlton restaurants this is one of my favorites, even though i always eat too much here! good location although sometimes you are hard pressed to find a car park - great Gelato here too

Fresh italian food at a great price. Large pizza for around 8 dollars. Not your average pizza either, relatively generous with the toppings which makes for a allround tasty and fulling pizza.
Eating in is an experience as it can get quite busy and noisy but it all adds to the character of the establishment.

I think this is the oldest and the best la porchetta...the food is always really fresh, there are a lot of options and the best part is the price...between $5-$8 for small to large pizzas you cant beat it. The restaurant can be a little noisy but it is good for families, groups and couples.
