the lake hume resort general store have the best icecreams hands down. I swear you get like a litre of icecream for like $4.80 or something. its awesome. especially good in summer to get the kids a icecream and go for a walk along the weir wall. good times great icecream nice area what more can you ask for. two thumbs up.

I've very fond memories of going to the weir in my youth with my family, with the obligatory stop off at the general store so that we could get ice cream in a cone. My favourite was always strawberry as it had big chunks of frozen strawberries in it. Yum!
So imagine my delight when, having the opportunity to visit the weir again at the start of the year with my own family, I was able to take them to the store so that they could share in some of my memories and have what I still consider to be the yummiest ice cream I've ever had. I honestly couldn't tell you what else this shop does - for me its all about the ice cream. The staff are always friendly and courteous as well.

we went for a wedding and my boys got to go on their 1st ever waterslide it was awesome and $10 for them to ride for about 12 turns each

The Lake Hume Tourist Resorts has lots of great features, ranging from the caravan park to water slides. It's fame, however, is owed to its Streets Ice-creamery located in the general store. For only $3.00 you can get yourself a huge double cone, with 15 different flavors to choose from.
