Lake Jindabyne Hotel

Their ad in the local tourist magazine clearly tells you the Sunday night special is $10 steak, chips and salad but when you get there you have to pay an additional $6 for those chips! Now, no matter what the food is like, that would be the focus of any review! So throw in the fact you have to crowd around a barbecue to cook that steak as well... gee, what a special family dinner on the first night of our short break away! My steak was underdone but I don't think I can enter my husband as a business in his own right! I think he just wanted to get away from the ferals at the barbecue...

I stay at this place every time I head to the snow. It's a 3 star hotel and accommodation is as expected but this place is great value for money. Prices start from around $150 and you get complimentary breakfast and discounts at various places such as ski hire and petrol. Great location - all rooms have lake front views and the place is just across the road from shops and restaurants. They hotel also has various entertainment most nights of the week.
