I often come here with my family and the food and service is always excellent. Always good atmosphere and the beer garden is great during warmer periods of the year. The location is excellent and there is plenty of parking compared to some other places. Highly recommended!

have had many a meal here and have always enjoyed eating at this venue i always enjoy the fishermans basket platter from here great fresh food and always a great size meal as well extreamly great customer service as well and the prices and specials here are always a deal for such a enjoyable meal and cold beer

I generally have a good experience with the lake view.
It has a beautiful view of lake wendouree and is clean and modern however the last few times I have been a little disappointed with the service and the quality of the meal.
Overall though, still I nice place to catch up with friends.

I have been here twice since it reopened. The service is excellent but the meals are quite pricey and nothing to rave about. The first time I had a risotto, which I found quite bland and last time I went for the safety of the chicken parma, however, there was very little sauce on it, leaving it quite dry. Standard of meals is certainly not what it was several years ago.

Unfortunately I've been let down by Lake View. Previous to the renovations I'd dined at Lake View numerous times, all being great experiences. However, since the renovations i've been to lake view twice and been left very dissapointed both times. The menu is quite limited with reasonable prices, I ordered the lamb pizza the first time, the lamb pieces were so large and thick that it was difficult to eat. This was undesirable, the second time an ingredient was missing from my meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. A+ service, but the food disappointing.

My husband and I dined at this establishment for a Sunday lunch just before the renovations were finished to the building.

We were in the area and thought we would call in, as the location of the hotel was great as it was across the road Lake Wendoree.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch, we both had chicken parmigiana which was real chicken breast coated with a herb crumb topped with ham, cheese and tomatoe sauce. It had a good amount of chips and salad with it too.

Staff were attentive and our meals delivered within reasonable time and our plate still hot

Other items on the menu looked appealing too, so next time we go to Ballarat for a day trip, I am sure we will keep this hotel in mind to go for a meal.

This hotel has come up very trendy after renovations, visited for coffee and slice , and both were very nice, coffee was very hot, which i like when I first order. Great outlook onto the lake and you can sit in doors or out in the fresh clean air of Ballarat.Can get very busy Friday nights and weekends.
