Questionable Groupon voucher and business. Very disappointed

I am very disappointed to see that this business is closed. In January I had a pamper session (a birthday gift from one of my children). At the time there was the spiel about laser rejuvenation. I signed up and then COVID got in the way of redeeming my program before now. I see now that it is permanently closed. So I am now out of pocket! I will never ever again, pay for anything in advance.....

Hi Sherry, we have moved location feel free to contact us on 9388 8828 or 0458 190 172 to redeem your voucher :)

Oh my goodness I have just experienced the same as the previous persons comments. The sales pitch during what should have been a relaxing treatment, the noise, and even the dog wandering into the treatment room. Had concerns regarding the cleanliness of the ‘salon’ and felt the need for a shower as soon as I got home. The pitch was appalling, offering me treatments at 10% of full price even when I said I was quite happy with my ageing skin and didn’t need a buttock lift!! Overheard the previous client being encourage to make a payment using her mobile phone despite her saying she would transfer funds via her laptop when she got home. Very disappointing

Complete and utter scam. Constantly change their name and I can't believe Groupon continue to sell their vouchers as there would be so many complaints. Should be shut down.

Love this place and really look forward to my monthly 2 hour pamper package. Excellent value and I find the staff very courteous, friendly, polite, caring and skilled. I’ve recommended many friends who have also become regular customers. A lovely intimate salon with a great vibe !

I bought 2 X 1 hr microdermabrasion via Scoopon .
Subiaco is a very good suburb and I assumed a ligitamint skin clinic. The website looks impressive with a lot of treatments available. My judgment was very of !
I have emailed and called several times over several days to which I’ve had to reply and there is no msg system set up.
I then did some research on IGram and found a mobile number linked on the acct . Which happens to be a lovely elderly lady in Sydney’s private number! So I’m completely disappointed! I’ve lost the $150 I paid and will never buy from Scoopon again . My first and last experience with Scoopon.
After reading a last review I think it’s just aswell .

Approximate cost: $150

I bought a $49 voucher for a 2 hour face and body pamper package from Laser Image Specialist in Subiaco. I spent a week calling them repeatedly to try and make an appointment. When I was unsuccessful I had to go through the company I bought the voucher from to eventually make an appointment. On the day before the appointment I answered a text message confirming the appointment. Later that afternoon they called me to confirm my appointment. Then the next morning they called me again to confirm the appointment. Ten minutes later they called again and said I couldn’t have my appointment at the scheduled time, so asked me to come in two hours earlier or rebook on another day. I took the earlier time. They also thought I had booked for 2 people when I had not.

When I arrived I was taken into a tiny treatment room with a curtain instead of a door. There was a security camera in the room and a window which looked into another room where I could see staff. So if people couldn’t see me getting changed on the security video, they only had to go into the staff room and look through the window into my treatment room. No privacy!

The treatment itself was alright, nothing spectacular but the attention to detail was severely lacking. As someone who has previously qualified and worked in the beauty industry, I have a reasonable understanding of the basic requirements for a salon or spa when performing these treatments. This place must have missed the first week of beauty school because all of these basic details were non-existent. Firstly I was cold the entire time. I had a thin blanket to cover myself but it may as well have been a tissue because I was freezing and despite telling the therapist, she didn’t offer another blanket. I had to pull the blanket over myself and I had to ask her to pull it up so I could cover my arms. Laying a blanket over a client is basic as a beauty therapist!

During the massage and back treatment I tied my hair up but I wasn’t given a hair net so the bottom of my hair was being pulled out the entire time and I could feel the therapist pulling hair off my back and her hands. Usually when you receive a back treatment and need to keep your pants or underwear on, your clothing is covered with a towel to protect it. Not at this place! I kept my jeans on and they didn’t tuck in a towel over the waist so they would have massage oil soaked into them as well as the exfoliant and mask unless the therapist didn’t put it all the way to the bottom of my back.

The treatment room obviously wasn’t set up well for my treatments because the therapist kept leaving the room to get things. This is like beauty school 101. Due to the fact there are no doors and staff seem to live in a world of their own at this clinic, I could hear staff having conversations about problems with other staff not turning up to work. Hardly a relaxing environment.

The worst part came at the end of my facial when my therapist left the room for the twentieth time and told me a skin specialist was coming to analyse my skin. So I am lying half-naked and freezing cold on a bed, trying to enjoy a quiet, relaxing massage and facial, when another woman walked in and started showing me diagrams and before & after photos of people who have had laser treatments. She gave me a long sales pitch about laser and tried to scare me into the state of the collagen and elastin in my skin. I wondered how she had decided I needed laser because at that point she hadn’t even looked at my skin yet. Finally she looked at my skin for 10 seconds and told me my collagen actually looked alright but then said I should still have laser for preventative reasons. Then she showed me an itemised list of the laser treatments and tried to convince me that I would get over $4000 worth of laser for $350. Hahahaha ok then lady. Then she put me on the spot to purchase and I had to respond right in front of her. She then asked me if I had booked my appointment for 2 people and I said I had not, and that I had already told them that over the phone. She left after that so the skin analysis was apparently just a sales pitch for laser and not an actual analysis of my skin in any other way. She also did not ask me anything about my skin and had some weird ideas like the laser would “lubricate my brain”.

Overall the experience couldn’t have been less pampering. This place is anything but luxurious or high-end. It appears to be managed by someone who either has no idea about the industry or has very low standards. The aggressive sales pitch is extremely distasteful and it’s absolutely unbelievable that a “pampering” treatment would be interrupted by this ridiculous spiel about laser.
