Having moved to Ballarat from a small rural town in southern Tasmania, I was like a kid in a lolly shop when I first found Mega Meats in La Trobe Street, which was recommended to me by a local business. Great service, wonderful selection of meats and has a good deli area as well. Pets are also well catered for. Everything we've had has been excellent. I like the loyalty card as well.

They offer some great deals and meat packs which is definitely value for money.
You can fill for freezer with one visit :)

Best Butchers in town, wether you require a lot or a little meat, they cater for you. Some meat is already wrapped and on trays and priced, or you can just ask for the amount you require. You name it they have it. You are also able to purchuse frozen vegies , fresh onions, potatoes, milk, bread, butter, orange juices, spices, and dog meat. And the best is, it is open 7 days a week, with parking at the door.

Great bulk meat buys. The service is good (like they will chop up marrowbones for you if you need). Quality is usually very good too. They sell other things like milk and bread too which is convenient.

They have a great range of products to choose from. Always friendly, helpful staff.Prices are much lower than else-where and great quality as well. The shop is bright, clean and every-thing is easy to find.

A great range of meats, with very pleasant staff who are most helpful indeed. The shop is consistently clean and bright, and never "stinks". Orders can be placed for pickups, which works well for me. I also buy dog food - how great to get a 12kg box of chicken carcasses for $5.00!!
