Delicious pastries!
The vanilla slice is best to have it chill from the fridge and the apple band is best to warm it up in the oven if you are having it later in the day.
They are both light and refreshing!
Thank you :)

An old school proper french bakery.
The place is not one of those modern, avante garde, trendy french patisseries - it is old school.
So do not go expecting fancy dome shaped mousse filled cakes with foams and jellies and gold leaf etc.
What you can expect however, is the french classics done very well with a small amount of variation here and there. Ie. a chocolate eclair filled with chocolate custard creme.

We visited this patisserie after hearing excellent things about them! We were very impressed - on entry you are greeted with the pleasant aroma of freshly baked sweet deserts! Staff are very knowledgeable about their products, ingredients etc, and are more than happy to assist with inquires. We purchased their famous mille feuille, which was well above the standard you receive in the standard French Bakery. Custard was of a good consistency, pastry was of a high standard, and the traditional topping was perfect!

Great French Pastries and of course, croissants are a hallmark of this little bakery that has been around for 40 years. Famous for their millefeuilles, chocolate croissants, escargots and other pastries, the quality of the cakes is generally good, although on a few times we've experienced average mille feuilles which were soggy in the middle instead of having a firm, solid custard and flaky pastry. Prices are steep for the goods here so don't expect much change out of $20 for a few croissants and cakes. Service is so so - if they don't know you, the service is very pedestrian, however I have seen other customers walk in and the attitude changes signficantly because they know them. I guess a good sign is if you have many customers walking in speaking French and buying from a French patisserie, it must be ok! It pays to get in early on the weekend as many things sell out early.

Approximate cost: $5
