My partner and I were given vouchers for a two hour beginners surf lesson while we were staying in Noosa earlier this year. We called up to make a booking and the instructors offered to pick us up from our accommodation and drive us to the beach where they are set up.

The surfing school instructors were both excellent and taught the group the basic techniques including how to stand on the surfboards!! The instructors were both patient and offered so many helpful tips to help us learn to surf. Highly recommend - easy techniques taught in a fun way!
