went in for a $40 wash and blow dry. Was pushed into having a colour gloss? applied (5 minutes during hairwash) with no price given and then during the hair washing was pushed into having another special conditioning treatment applied. Ended up paying $250 ($150 for colour treatment, $60 for conditioning and $40 for the blow wave)! Deceiving upselling without providing any prices!

i have seeing lots of hairdressing salons in my time, but yet to come a cross hair salon like L, Etoile Elite,
i have experienced the best looks of my life every time i step out of this salon.i highly recomende L' Etoile to every women whom love the look of thher life.

While I can't talk about it's longevity, the initial blonde colour I've received is one of the best ever. But, it comes at a cost.

If you're looking to go blonde with a half-head of foils, expect to pay $395 (without a cut).

This will cover the half-head foils ($185), the toner/semi ($145) and the blow dry ($65). However, if you go earlier in the week, the blow dry is $40.

I made the mistake of basing my own estimate of costs on their website and not checking in to see how much all the extras were adding up. I also didn't think the blow dry was going to be as much as it was.

Having said that, I'm really happy with the colour and am looking forward to seeing whether it lasts longer than the colour from my usual salon – People Hairdressing in Potts Point (they charge around $375 for a half-head foils, toner, cut and blow dry).

If the colour is substantially better, I'll be willing to continue to pay the extra.

I tried this salon after I saw a woman with amazing hair walking out - the salon is in one of those amazing grand Victorian buildings on George St by Martin Place and super lux! The service was very professional and friendly. Eddie Azzi did an amazing job fixing my hair after a really bad colour job and nursed my hair back to its former glory. I've joined the Black Unlimited club now which means free keratin treatments for a year (with any cut or colour) and wash and blow dries at $30. I've been every week for the last few months for a wash an blow dry - at $30 that's incredible value and my hair just gets better and better.
