The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the food is so fresh and affordable that you leave feeling really positive about life.

I compared the cost of driving to Bendigo to buy my fresh fruit and veg and found it more cost effective to buy from the LRA. Also, we love the range of other products for sale, especially the locally group and self-pressed Harcourt apple cider (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

The Little Red Apple is fresh fruit shop just outside of Castlemaine, on the way to Harcourt. They not only sell fresh local fruit and vegies but freshly made Harcourt apple and pear juice, and a range of chutneys and jams.

The apple preserve is a favourite of mine on toast, you only need a little bit though or it gets too sweet.
