i've been to both of the little salon stores a few times now and i've always found it interesting and cute. The staff have all been friendly without being super pushy sales people so i never feel uncomfortable just looking around for a while. I love all the original jewelery by aus designers and while it's not all cutting-edge high fashion stuff, the general look and feel is cute, quirky and vintagey, which i like. I have tried on a bit of the clothing and found that becuase they only get small amounts of stock in, my size is sometimes sold out. i guess it pays to stop by more frequesntly. I did however just buy a new pure wool hooded jacket from the fitzroy store which i am super happy with. It was $330 but well worth it for a quality piece that was made and designed here in melbourne and its the sort of price range i would expect to pay for something like that. This isn't Target or Dangerfield after all! If you're into hand made cute things or read frankie magazine then you will like little salon.

Pretty shop. The sales girl was helpful but not terribly friendly. Some of the jewellery didn't seem that original and was kinda expensive. I liked some of the homewares. The clothing was weird and kinda frumpy who are they designing for?

There are many interesting little things here. Brooches, alphabet hair clips, necklaces...lovely detailed handmade underwear, unusual, well made dresses and lots of excellent gift ideas. Pricey but worth it for the quality of something you wont be seeing everywhere on everybody! Staff have always been friendly without being annoying in any way.

Little Salon has two stores, one in Fitzroy and one in the Melbourne CBD. They stock a range of bags and accessories by local and Australian designers. There is some amazing products in there including the most beautiful bags by Nancy Bird.
