I ordered 6 panda corys. 6 Pygmy corys arrived instead. They then proceed to send me another batch as an apology, 1 panda 5 pygmy arrive. In their defence all fish seem to be healthy and happy. But I wouldn't recommend using the service when they can't even ship correct fish

At first I was a little apprehensive at buying "live fish" online... But they did guarantee they would be delivered "live" so we thought we would give it a shot.

We ordered 2 fish, nothing to fancy or exotic just a Ryukin and a Black Moar. The order was processed quickly and was soon on it's way.

My only disappointment was with the delivery. I had been keeping an eye on the tracking I was sent so I would know when to expect the fish. I checked the tracking and it said "delivered" I had been home all day and no one had knocked on the door. I went out to the hallway looking only to notice the corner of a small box poking out from behind the stair case (we lived in a unit at the time). The parcel was not authorized for drop off so I was not pleased at all as I had no idea how long the fish had been sitting there BUT this is an issue with Australia Air Express and not LiveFish.

Once I'd brought the fish inside and unpacked them I was delighted that they were indeed very alive and very healthy in appearance.

I have since found the fish from LiveFish to be of the highest standard, I have had fish from the pet shops in the past which have not lasted more than a couple of months. The fish we first purchased from LiveFish are now 2 years old and we will be ordering again soon as we upgrade our smaller tank to a new larger one.

While they do cost a little more than the pet shop and there is postage to be taken into account too, the quality is a lot better than anything I've seen from a pet shop. They have a large selection of fresh water and tropical and exotic fish plus a wide range of accessories and aquariums.

Whether your just starting out or a full on fish collector there is sure to be something to suit you!

I placed an order through LiveFish for my tropical fish tank. I wanted to replace the Spiney Eel that jumped from my tank, however was unable to find any in local pet and fish shops. I found the LiveFish website and placed an order for a Spiney Eel and a couple of other small tropical fish. I wasn't sure how well the fish would travel but was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived a few days later and the fish were all alive and well. The smaller fish were a little pale but in the info provided by LiveFish it said that some fish may temporarily lose their colour when under stress (such as travel). Within a few hours of being in my tank their colouring returned. It has been a few months later and all the fish that I purchased and the eel are still happily swimming around. The prices were a little bit more expensive than my local pet shops, plus I had to pay postage, but I was happy to get an eel and couldn't find one anywhere else.

My partner and I have a large fish tank stocked with cichlids but were having difficulty locating a breed he wanted. We did an internet search and came up with Livefish. Ordering was simple and the fish were delivered alive and well very promptly.
