These guys are OK. They're convenient and nice in there. I think they're best for easy alterations like hemming pants and shirts. But don't use them for anything too complicated - they took in a pair of my pants by too much and while they fixed the issue without an extra fee, the work the second time was of lower quality.

got a zipper fixed, costly as but great craftsmanship and service, never had any problems with the zipper after getting it fixed

wait time wasn't too bad either, and location's great

had a hole in my jumper patched up, cost me $25 which i thought was a bit pricey given that it was a simple cotton hoodie and the hole was tiny, granted i don't usually know what the cost is when it comes to alterations so i dunno lol

the staff were nice though and really friendly and the hole was practically gone, it took around 3 days so it wasn't too bad

The Melbourne Central Looksmart store has a great attitude and is of great quality and workmanship. Other alterations in Melbourne Central hike up the prices and have poor customer service. Had my formalwear altered here and they gave some good advice in maintaining the style of the dress without cutting out too much. I have also used them to input pockets in my winter jackets and get pants/jeans hemmed up. Seems like a small family business and will keep going back given the friendly service and prices!
