I went to Lord of the Isles for a work dinner. The service was fantastic with our waitresses being very accommodating with all requests. I chose lamb cutlets, and although I was not a fan of the pale crumb, overall the meal was good. Nice atmosphere too.
A group of us went along for dinner before a sports match being held at nearby Kardinia Park recently and were impressed by the speed of service by the waitress. She was very polite and professional and giving us the heads up to order quickly as there the dinner rush was about to start.
we all had different meals including burger, fish, chicken parmas and kids meals. Everyone was happy as meals were hot and freshly prepared.
the kids meals were reasonably priced at $8.50 each and were a generous serve (tempura chicken nuggets and chips and spaghetti bolognaise).
lovely bistro with modern decor.
The waitress took our order from the table using her ipad and drinks were ordered from the bar.
meals were priced from 20 to 35 approx and were delicious.
happy to go back again!

Lovely meal, and plenty on plate, quite a few different things on menu to pick from, fairly pricey, and didnt seem to be any real lunch time specials. Service was pretty quick. Large Dining room was quite dark, and this was on a bright sunny day. Very clean and modern place and lovely to just sit back and relax.
Approximate cost: $30.00
Extremely expensive for a pub meal ($28 for a chicken parmie is the highest I have ever seen). The quality is similar to what you can get for genuine pub prices, maybe slightly higher. They got 3 out of 6 drink orders wrong and the staff member was quite rude. Drinks are also the most expensive at any pub in Geelong. hey also gave one of our party salad instead of vegetables and the waitress turned her nose up when this was pointed out. Then we could not split the bill even though two of us were paying 50% each, they simply refused. I would not go back here, there are so many better options and staff that actually want you in their establishment.
Approximate cost: $28
Hi Geelong70, from what you (and others) have described, this venueĆ¢??s prices do indeed seem somewhat inflated, especially for simple pub fare. When one combines over-the-top prices with the incompetent and rude service, it hardly encourages a visit. Thanks for notifying others of this disappointing establishment. Regards, Reeces
the last time i was here i won a grand on the pokies so i really like the place, the food was really great too lots of variety i enjoyed my steak...staff are very friendly but its a pain trying to get parking
Fantastic food and fantastic service, the food is outstanding and the costis reasonable a great place to take the family and have a lovely night, they have a good menu catering for everyone even people with allergies. Very clean and friendly staff
Approximate cost: $25.00
The food here is outstanding, plenty on the menu, not the cheapest place, but well worth it. Can get very busy on some nights., but good place to come and relax with friends.
This storied hotel establishment has marketed itself as a high-end type of meal venue. The prices are very high, but the quality isn't bad. The chefs that work there are usually of top quality and you can get a wide range of meals to suit any appetite.
Pretty good pub / bistro food. great decor and a relaxing environment. Food is good quality and they use good produce for salads / vegetables. The duck is pretty great as a main. The service is friendly and generally pretty good.
Approximate cost: $20
A very good bistro meal with a wide selection of meals available ,all are good quality and value for money ,business is well conducted and managed and a good cliental base was evident at our recent visit.
