Based on the reviews on WOMOW, I thought I would try Louie's Kitchen after tiring of lacklustre takeways from other Chinese places.

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the people who run this family business, and the meals ordered were -- as promised -- not overly salty or laden with MSG and other rubbish. Solid, honest, flavoursome food that hit the spot (we ordered a mixture of entrees like wontons and spring rolls with combination chow mein and a stir-fried Szechuan Chicken). The meat was lean and tender, and had none of the nasty 'Chinese takeaway' smell and taste from lesser establishments. The only problem was that the servings were so generous that we probably ordered a bit too much, but the value for money was there.

We will be returning again.

I had a bad experiences with other local Chinese take-a-ways in the area where they would half fill the containers and sell two day old smelly dim sims. So when Louie's Kitchen opened I gave them a try and found to my delight that not only do they give great value but the quality of there food is extremely good. I also found the service refreshingly genuine and welcoming. Best of all no msg and the food is fresh. My auntie from interstate was visiting when we had Louie's food and she said it was the best she had eatern! A place well worth the visit, you wont be sorry!

We ordered takeaway from here on two occassions, the person on the phone was extremely friendly and was prepared to make adjustments to our meal. Very affordable and good portions, with lots of options for value meals.

Best Chinese I have had. Very fresh and tasty. Not oily at all. Delivery service is very efficient and prices are very competitive.

We heard the chef from a well known restaurant specializing in crabs opened this up himself so we had a sit down meal - restaurant quality at take away prices!
Everything was yummy but their crabs, flounder, and crispy chicken was amazing! Granted I haven't tried everything on the menu. Absolutely worth it. Couldn't believe the bill when we saw it!

we travel 15 minutes to get to 'Louies Kitchen' and WOW it is worth going the extra distance. We drive across from Caulfield. Tonight we bought enough food to last two of us a couple of days but it was so yum that we ate the lot, I can't fit in another thing. The amount of food we recieved for what we paid was amazing. the price per meal below was a rough average as we got 2 rice and 5 mains. Thanks to the Louies

Delicious food with generous servings of meat...not filled with onions or celery! Friendly family business who take pride in their food. Really awesome, highly recommend!
