Most amazing croissants in my opinion & it seems everyone else too! Recently enjoyed a lovely experience of their Lune Lab which feature 3 different pastries, first tried by the guests attending. The service was so attentive, friendly & relaxed. Highly recommend a visit to their cafe in general

They do few things, and they do them well. Beautiful croissants and great coffee. The friendly service and modern premises makes for a great business. It was also cheaper then I would've expected.

Very popular bakery. Had to go early to get a croissant as I was told they sell out quite quickly. Towards the costly side but delicious.

Several years on since they opened, and this place is this my favourite place to get pastries of the croissant variety.

We arrived 5 mins before 8 at the Fitzroy "shop" - there is no signage on the shop - just a non descript black building. Local residents would walk pass and ask what we were queueing for. Yes there was a queue. It took us 2 hours to queue and order and a further 7 minutes for the croissants to get to us. You need to get there atleast 1hr before opening to start queuing. By the time we got to order quite a few of their croissants were gone.

The staff are quite inefficient and move rather slowly about the place. A cup of coffee took 7 minutes to be made.

As for the croissants - very crispy and with each bite I could feel my heart muscles tightening. Quite flavoursome and delicious none the less. the twice baked almond was wonderful.

Was it worth it? hmm perhaps as a once off novelty idea. The queuing is a turn off. Being in demand doesnt mean you have to waste 2 hours of your life waiting on a dreary side street exposed to the rain and wind.

We spent 92 on 6 croisants and 6 cruffins (croissant/muffins)

Approximate cost: $92

Fantastic little passitierre specializing in those french pastries we call croissants.
Slightly crispy on the outside, lusciously light but rich and creamy layers of dough separated by air pockets.
Lune has a good variety for you to choose from.
Whether you fancy the latest fashion frenzy such as cruffin (croissant-muffin) or a traditional plain croissant, or anything else in between, they have it covered.
Just let yourself be wowed.

Edit: They no longer have stockists except for one I believe. Now I have to go to the Croissanterie itself to buy the croissants. They now open Fri-Sun morning until sold out (very very fast). I have to queue like half an hour before opening and sometimes by then they already have a very long queue. They put limits on how many croissants you can buy. That's how popular they are. Haven't been there since baby is born. I think I'm due for a visit. Wait for me Cruffin! Oh, I heard they are moving to Fitzroy soon.

Lune Croissanterrie is a supplier for croissants. If you want to try this croissant, you need to go the stockists since I heard that the baker only sell to public on Saturday occasionally. I believe they supply to 6 cafes across Melbourne. I went to try the one nearby my home in South Melbourne. Definitely the best I found in Melbourne. The croissant has a beautiful shine to it, fresh, soft, fragrant and simply delicious. Will definitely be back to get some more. I believe they also stock some near my work area so I might go there earlier before work to try more. Hopefully the one near work supply other types of croissants for me to try.
