I love Macca castle! It’s an animal refuge an education for the youngsters and a perfect outing for the grandkids! My 17 year old had a putt putt golf round with her friend, while I drank coffee and enjoyed the animals with a 2 year old A goody and and an oldy

I stopped her on my way to Byron Bay while on a holiday . It really didn't wow me they cater alot for tourists lots of nick nacks but I was expecting more Macadamia related things and less of the key tags with your name on it etc. I found the boxed macadamias such as patons brand over priced and was expecting lots of fresh made on premises macadamias at a cheaper price. Or macadamia ice creams , macadamia cakes, macaroons, macadamia hot chocolates , etc not stuff I could purchase anywhere. .. I walked out without purchasing anything ..

This is a great place to take young children, lots of,small friendly animals the kids can pet and hold. Have a mini golf area and swing playground. There is also a little train ride. I found, the food a bit pricey along with the gifts but all in all a nice place spend the day with the kids.

I would literally say do not bother! $16.99 per adult and $8.99 for kids up to 5. There is nothing there but some farm animals. They charge for the train ride which only goes about every couple of hours. There are kangaroos and emus apparantly but the gate is locked unless you are there at the precise time they feed them - so a drop in (which we did) is useless. The staff are lovely, the gift shop like the entry is overpriced and I cannot believe the entry fee does not cover a very small train ride. In fact I do not know what on earth your paying for! Very disappointed, will never go back and cannot believe they are still in business. TERRIBLY overpriced.

Approximate cost: $45

Good coffee, and they do a kids ice-cream scoop for $2.00 which our 3 year old lapped up. The mini golf is a little tired but useable and still fun. The play park on the northern end is a lot of fun, and all the climbing is a great way to tire out the kids!

We stopped in here on our way back from Brisbane for a coffee and piece of cake. Gotta say ... WOW the banana chocolate cake was so so good. It was fresh and had fresh whipped cream with it. The coffee was very nice too. Was at a reasonable price, it wasn't even $20 for two of us for morning tea.

Approximate cost: $5.00

The cafe is pretty expensive but worth a treat. If you have kids it's worth going purely for the kids activities our little one loved the train ride! They also have a little animal petting zoo and mini golf course!
