This lovely, friendly and reasonably prices Turkish restaurant is definitely the one to go to in South Bank.

Being down the quiet end of South Bank they don't have that many customers. But the food is great, they help you choose an interesting selection of food.

My experience when I entered this restaurant is very fascinating. Services are good including their foods and meals. There are also entertainments which could make the customer enjoy, foods are well-served and cooked, the place is clean and very beautiful, that's why most of the people are enjoying the place.

Approximate cost: $250

Large range of Turkish food available, with seating for 150 people inside and 150 outside. Something to suit everyone on the menu, that serves halal food. We visited on a Friday night and there was a belly dancer, performing which added to the all ready great atmoshpere, which really made the evening. We ordered a mixed grill and the meat was cooked perfectly. We orderd a shisha, and 45minutes later and after asking four staff memembers, we finally got set up outside. Once we were underway with the shisha we were looked aftered, making sure that our charcoals were topped up. Overall a good night, good food, good atmosphere, right next to the river.

Approximate cost: $31.00

Only been here once...but will not return. My husband and I ordered 2 mains and bottle of wine. We finished the bottle before the first main came out - and it was cold/luke warm at best. We thought it might have gone cold while the other meal was being cooked...so we decided to wait for the next main to come out before we sent it back for reheating. FIFTEEN minutes later, the second main came out, also cold. What the???? YES - they were both supposed to be hot dishes. We ended up leaving without eating and grabbed subway on the way home.

I went to Mado for the second time on Saturday night. There was a group of 6 of us and the service is fantastic. They are BYO ($10 corkage per bottle is quoted on their menu).

We were celebrating a friend's birthday and they just happened to hear us doing a toast and come and asked. The next thing we knew there was a mini cake and candles coming out - fantastic! Then the belly dancer come and she encouraged us to get up and dance with her! Fun Fun!

The food was delicious. We had dips and turkish bread to start. Then we ordered haloumi. For mains we ordered some grilled chicken, grilled lamb with eggplant and a Pide which was plenty for us ( we weren't overly hungry). They were big serves and were very tasty. Afterwards we retired to have a traditional Sheesha pipe! Which was a bit more expensive than overseas, but all a bit of fun. We'll be back. I must say we went about two years previously and didn't have a good experience that time (but we showed up as the kitchen was closing) however someone in our group mentioned it was good, so we tried again and are thankful that we did!

Approximate cost: $25

Quantity & quality of food here is not an issue. They do the calamari rings well to the tee. Love the ambiance - makes you feel very welcome

Very pleasant. Quiet as it was a weeknight, but it worked out well as it was our servers first night. She was trying so hard and was quite sweet. The service was friendly and the food very good. Ambiance is also quite nice. We had the Turkish bread and dips and chicken and everything was delivered quickly and tasted very good.

Approximate cost: $25.00

Massive portions and funky upbeat atmosphere...a place to go back to. There are belly dancers there on weekend evenings, and its vibrant entertainment. Good value, and takeaway is offered.

Approximate cost: $20.00
