Had the quail entree here and their bun dat biet (combination vermicelli salad).
Both were excellent and they had the genuinely home made spring rolls, which are slightly different to the generic asian ones.
Drink was a durian smoothie, which was flavourful and delightful

It was nice... enough.
Nothing so good about this place that makes me want to come back.
Had the quail entree and the pho main.
Both nice and did the job

Tonight we celebrated my Grandma's 94th birthday and my nephew's 21st birthday.

The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient from beginning to end. I can honestly say that I have never had better service in any restaurant. They were at the table regularly, ensuring that all of us had all we wanted.

The food was amazing, and served so quickly. There are lots delicious vegan and non-vegan dishes. And wow, amazing value. The entrees were bigger than we expected and very tasty. The mains plates were piled high with scrumptious food, too much to eat. So much that we all took home large containers of food. Every meal was cooked beautifully. I'm not a vegan, the meats were tender, the rice was soft but not soggy, the food arrived at the table nice and hot. I'm told that the vegan meals were just as lovely. I was delighted that meals were brought out fairly close together. Many restaurants fail to accomplish this, so some diners finish before others have even been served. Mai Kitchen managed to have us all eating at the same time.

The restaurant is clean and nicely lit, not too bright, not too dark. The simple high-backed, wooden chairs look lovely with the wooden tables and floor. The feeling is simple elegance, and open space. Surprisingly for such a large space, and so many diners, it didn't feel noisy, or crowded.

After the main meal the staff surprised us with two special deserts, one vegan, one not, each with a lit candle, and led us in the Happy Birthday song. Grandma and my nephew were both delighted. They also report that the deserts were especially yummy.

This used to be my go to fave Viet restaurant, I was a regular. they made the best savoury pancake but the last time when I was outside waiting for my friend I got randomly bashed by a thug and when I came into the restaurant distraught and concussed they looked at me like I was bringing them bad luck and treated me not with care or concern but rudeness. Don't go here it's a dangerous neighbourhood there are gangs in the neighbourhood and the [redacted due to personal identifier] callousness to my assault suggests this is not a good business to support

This place used to have a Vietnamese name. Something like Nguy Ngoc Quan or something similar.
Anyway, it's changed and the place does look at lot better. However the renovations means their prices went up... a lot!

A nice staff did stand and open the door for us, which is a nice touch, but their obligation to open the door means the staff you've just asked to get something is help up opening the door and greeting people, so much that they forget you asked them for anything! Thus becoming bad service.

Food. Not nearly as good as I remember it being previously. The bun duc biet just doesn't have the same flavour and the com dum duc viet is definitely presentation over quality.

It's a shame. This used to be one of my 'go to when all else fails' places.

A very nice Vietnamese restaurant. Their food is amazing, the servings are huge and the staff attentive. We started with prawn toast and spring rolls for entree and followed closely with sizzling chilli chicken, salt and pepper squid and sizzling prawns. I especially enjoyed their sizzling prawns, so delicious.

The menu is large which alo include many vegan options. Our meals were delicious and the staff very friendly and welcoming.

We will be returning.
