A horrible experience overall. I called this salon to make a booking for my daughter for a haircut. I asked to book with the most and experience hairdresser and I after all my questions were being ignored by the lady I was speaking on the phone I was passed on to the owner of the saloon to speak and she recommended me Julie as she said she has more than 20 year s experience. When we arrived Julie was quite rude as she took quite a long time to shuffle to trough the booking book pretending she could not find our name....here to mention it was only one client in the salon. Ironic!!! The place was almost empty but yet it took her long time to find the booking. Then my daughter explained to her how she wants her hair to be done and even showed her a picture. To watch Julie doing the haircut for my daughter it was very shocking as she did not look at all as experienced hairdresser but rather like a beginner. Many times I was looking how she was cutting and I could see clearly that she was pretending that she cutting as I could see no hair falling. Many times I had to show her the picture how my daughter wanted and she was obviously very annoyed with this. My daughter started to feel unwell as she was getting very upset to see how disorganised she was and how chopped her hair looked like and it was nothing like she wanted. After 1.5h of Julie continually pretending she was cutting my daughter could not take it anymore and she asked me to leave. When i told Julie that we have to go she just dumped my daughter without even cleaning her and rushed to the till to cash the money. I paid $85 for a complete disaster. As I did not want to make a scene there I called the salon immediately and spoke with the owner and she told me that she will call me back as she was with a client......like I did not matter as a client as well and of course she never called back. Very bad experience and customer service!!! Definitely not going back and would not recommend!!!! A complete waste of time and money!!!! When I called back after a couple of days the owner Sonia kept speaking over and basically shouting at me accusing me and my daughter and she told me that Julie was very upset. So, we went there with the promise that we will deal with an experienced hairdresser and ended up with a disastrous haircut and paid $85 and we got blamed for this. Is unbelievable how Sonia, the owner of this salon treats her clients. Please don`t be tricked by her smiles because the minute you, as a client, show that you are not happy she will put the blame on you, as I can clearly see form other low rated reviews.

I had searched high and low to find stylists that could cut and colour anywhere near as good as hairdressers in the UK. This team beat the lot! Expert stylists in cutting and colour I would definitely recommend. They listen to what you want and produce amazing results. Thank you Makasi.

MAKASI IS GREAAAT Came here wanting a change of colour, the owner sat me down and we discussed what I liked and she showed and explained everything until we came to an agreement. The cut was perfect and the colour was amazing. She was friendly and made me feel so relaxed. 10/10 and definitely will return Thankyou makasi

In search for a good hairdresser here in Perth i went to Makasi for the first time today. I was really pleased with the results and the unusually down to earth approach of the stylist. While i will pay whatever it takes to get the right cut i have to say that it was extremely well priced unlike the expensive big name hairdressers i have tried in Perth simply who failed me badly. Will definitely be heading back to Makasi!

Awful service .. Got colour done which ruined my hair and when I called back for refund the management was rude to me .. Cheap products as it made my hair rough and my hair loose colour after every wash.. Very bad customer service and extremely rude management. Worst ever experience ....

I was recommended by a friend to visit Makasi for my hair. Since going there 2 years ago, I havent been to any other salon, whether it is for a cut, blow dry, colour, or even for products. The owner personally does my hair, and always listens to what Ive requested, and even provides fantastic ideas for new styling- after which of course final decision is your own. The owner is a very talented and experienced hair stylist, and always mentions when I leave, if you are unhappy with anything, or if you need some adjustments please let me know and come back. Makasi is a fabulous salon, and I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Myself, my mother and sister have all been going to Makasi's for the last 3-4 years. In the years that we have used makasi's services, we have never been unhappy with the services provided by the staff. I usually get my hair cut and coloured by Stacy or the owner. On the numerous occasions i have been to their hairdressers i have received outstanding services. To be particular, i usually get my ends dyed red. in the past i have been to other hair dressers who have used bleach and other chemicals that ruined and dried out my hair due to being indian and having jet black hair. However, the products used at Makasi's are of great quality and work like magic on my hair. I definatley recommend people to try their services out:D

Ive been going to Makasi for about 3 years now and Im so glad I found this salon. The owner does my hair regularly and she is fantastic, in fact I asked her to do my wedding hair and received so many comments about my hair on my wedding day. The owner cuts and chemically rebounds my hair. Best rebounding in town and I tried a few different places. I recommended this salon to 3 of my friends and they are now regular customers and love the place.
