Had fish dinner here last night with the GF. Food was excellent, decent prices but was a little on the slow side. Over all 4/5

Restaurant prices $20 to $40 mains in a casual cafe like environment (including bench seats outside) really bugs me. I have to admit the atmosphere is great, the views of the water at Many are great, but it is the sort of environment where you would rather have fish & chips, coffee, cake or a casual meal than a proper meal.

Still it is THE place in Manly to go for over priced fish & chips.

Met friend for coffee Saturday 21st December at 2.30pm - hardly anyone in café - we both had flat white and then hot chocolate - ok, nothing to rave about - hot chocolate not hot - always annoying - café is obviously undergoing renovations - looked dreadful - exposed bare timber where cushioned seating had once been - very tacky - staff were getting ready for evening crowd and covered bare timber with white tablecloths and tinsel - looked hideous - hope they finish renovating sooner rather than later.

Manly fish cafe is just "ok" in my book, the food is pretty good in most areas but service I thought was a bit on the slow side. The views are indeed amazing and worth the price of entry for the nice seaside you see. I do think that they are overpriced though compared to some other places. Nevertheless I still enjoyed myself and I would probably go again.

I must say I have had nothing but trouble when it comes to their Fish burgers the Barramundi burger to be precise, Every time I have gotten physically sick from eating their burgers I have tried them 3 times. They are rather expensive for your average fish and chip shop.
On a positive note they have great coffee. However that too is $5.25 for are large cup.

Have visited this place many times and never been disappointed. seafood baskets, fish, chips, salads all fresh and cooked to perfection, esp the calamari. Im a person who isn't backward in coming forward when the calamari is crap and most places over cook it till its like chewing a rubber band,so when they can cook it right I'm back there ! The shop is sitting by the water so you can watch the boats sail by. Child friendly and across the road is a pool area and play area and plenty of seats if you prefer to go across the road to eat at a table. Plenty of outdoor seats on the footpath at the cafe. Lovely on a spring day. Packed out at lunch times and school hols so beware around those times. staff are happy and always up for a bit of a chat whilst waiting . Clean and neat and decor is fishy lol good one guys ,will always come back

Approximate cost: $13

I have only ordered the beer battered hand cut chips from here but they were amazing, they weren't too greasy and tasted great

I love this place, every so often we go there for the really fresh seafood and chips. We can dine outside and there are magnificent views of the water. Even caught up with friends down there for lunch sometimes.
