Every time I pass this place I have to buy coffee they have amazing latte which I don't think other places have. Lots of sides in a very reasonable price. Staffs are really nice and welcoming nice place

Fantastic coffee and they are also so friendly. Their coffee is cheap with the student card ($3.30 for a small and $3.80 for a large I believe). I was referred to them by a lecturer at uni and have gone there ever since.

Mario's is a great, quirky and cool little cafe with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Comfortable couches, stools and table option for whatever you're i the mood for, whether it be a chat with a friend or a business meeting. Prices are reasonable, drinks are great and service is excellent. Lovely, prompt staff! It's a favourite if you ever over Hawthorn way!

Best coffee in Hawthorn!!! Beautiful blend and perfect temp. Never burnt milk - finally!!! The service is great, they always look like they are having a good time and they seem to have a good system going.

stopped by there for coffee and toast one morning. tried the eggs scrambled and bacon. yummy. love the coffee. freshly brewed black coffee. the real stuff. no fancy names like latte or short or tall or long or whatever. nothing like bacon and eggs and coffee black to start the day!

Fabulous, consistently good coffee. Cosy, low-lit surrounds. Nice staff (I think it's still family-run?). An eclectic crowd of loyal fans. Wide selection of choccies etc. Good vibe.

And THANK GOD smoking is now banned because this place used to be so thick with smoke you couldn't see...or breathe...or taste the coffee!! I used to only get takeaways because of this, but now I can actually sit-in and enjoy the place!

I love the quality and best coffee they make! Staff are very friendly and they know the art of the coffee!! Easy access to the cafe! So you can have your coffee either on you way to work or after shopping !! Perfect mixcture of everything, so you get a fresh and nice coffee!!

Good coffee and great chocolates

It looks dark and dingy from the outside and with the old sofas and kitchen chairs, you might think twice. But Mario´s do great coffees, and offer a huge selection of chocolates and Italian panettone (the sweet bread-like cake). Water is free, newspapers are available to read in the cafe and there´s a good ambience
