Always loved the Marly as a venue. Has a good, old time pub fee about it. Food is ok but standard pub grub

Great venue that is easy to access by public transport. Usually has good music and have seen some good bands there in the past. Food is a bit expensive I think

Atmosphere here is great for a midweek drink, however on the weekends it gets way too busy, line up for a drink is ridiculously long. Food is overpriced.

Im not a fan of writing bad reviews but i feel this is a must.
Where do i start... Eating out at a pub can sometimes be a hit and miss but you generally know what to expect - generous portions, cheaper than most restaurants and a good atmosphere to have a beer.. Or two. On this occasion me and my partner came here and did not have a great experience. The drinks - good, can't really comment on the bartenders beer pouring skill. The food - bad. I ordered a 350 gram t bone steak well done. The steak was no where close to 350 grams, and was cooked very fast almost like it was finished in the microwave. The chips were so badly burnt all were crispy and soaked with oil. Also covered in lemon juice- im unsure why. My partner had a cajan chicken salad which was ment to come with a lemon dressing. It had a balsamic dressing with ceaser sauce on top- once again im not sure why. The garlic bread was also burnt. I came to the malborough hotel from a recommendation from a friend. He was horrified to hear of this. I should also mention as we left the bar tender said it was the chefs first night- so maybe i will try this place again- probably no time soon though.

Sleazy tacky and terrible music. The food is nothing to write home about. They make a really nice shot called fairy dust which you must try if you are going there.

The $10.50 steak/schnitzel deals are what I live for. Every now and then I'll get a rubbish steak, but 80% of the time its delicious and a ridiculously good deal.

the marly bar is a fantastic venue, i love the atmosphere and i feel relaxed and always have a good time when i go out here. drinks can be a bit pricey and its often overcrowded

This establishment is great. Close to public transport: buses, train, taxis. Affordable drinks, you can place a bet, bistro to have something to eat, upstairs like a cool trendy dark club/bar. Love it!!

I ahve been here a few times with friends for drinks and found the place to be a good place to relax and catch up. The atmosphere is nice and casual and it seems like the place was recently renovated. It has a nice little courtyard out the back that tends to get pretty full when busy though. The inside however doesn't pack up much.
