We have been here a few times in the past and was always satisfied with quality and quantity but the past 6 mths it has gone below average for quantity. I ordered a fisherman's basket for $13.90 a piece of cod and a half serve of calamari and 2 600 ml drinks all up cost me $35.well the seafood basket when i opened it was like"wheres the rest of it!" It was a handful of chips, one small piece of fish, one average prawn and a sea scallop ,that was it for almost $ 14! Everywhere we have had seafood baskets is fish ,decent serve of chips, prawn, calamari, scallop, seafood stick .couldn't believe the cost and guys come on 20c for beetroot on a burger! That should be standard! Potato scallops $1.80 each and over $2.50 for a pineapple fritter get real! That really is ripping ppl off. The service is just kids taking orders at the till so no how are you what can i get for you etc just give me the order. They are fairly quick tho and the place is always clean but as for the prices well i wont be going back anymore.someone ruined it ,they need to get the prices back to reality and make the quantity larger .

Wow, that's inflation on prices right there especially for measly serving sizes and what you actually receive!! Will definitely avoid this place. Thanks for the great and detailed review Freddie!!

I have bought fish and chips from here and taken them down to eat on the beach many times as the location is great. The fresh seafood i have bought from here for the holiday season has always been great quality.

We usually buy fresh seafood(fish, prawns &scallops)from Marsay Seafood and they have a large display and it is always fresh. The staff are helpful with advice and friendly. On a occasion when we have had cooked it has never been greasy and always delicious.Maybe a little pricey but the quality is great. Can get very busy on a Sunday and holiday time.

Approximate cost: $25-$35 kg fish

A trip to Caloundra is never complete without tasting the delights of Marsay Bros Seafood. There are many fish and chip shops in Caloundra and during the years that I lived in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland I must have tried most. None of them, however, come close to Marsay Bros. It's for that reason that I always like to at least get some hot chips every time I pay Caloundra a visit.

Marsay Bros has a vast variety of fresh fish available although as I'm not a connoisseur I've always stuck with very pedestrian fish like cod. Not that the cod tastes at all pedestrian once it's been given the Marsay treatment! The prawns are always fresh and succulent and on many occasions I've feasted on them whilst soaking up one of Caloundra's many pristine beaches. Although not the cheapest seafood around, Marsay Bros is well worth the extra expense.

Grilled Barramundi was excellent. Chips were very good not too greasy. Fresh garden salad was good quantity and very fresh. Staff were very helpful as we processed our order. We continue to enjoy buying seafood from Marsav Brothers

Their seafood is excellent and always very fresh. You do sometimes have quite a long wait especially at week-ends. Fairly good value for money especially when you are really hungry after going to the beach
