Look, books and coffee are really a winning combo. It's not hard for Mary Ryan's to get it right, and they do. Staff are usually friendly, service is fast and the food is good. The range of books is fantastic, and I could stand there all day reading and sipping coffee if for one thing - the chairs inside are SUPER uncomfortable and hurt my butt. I'd spend more time there if I could stand to sit on those wooden torture devices. I'd love to stay but my lower back won't let me. I know this sounds like a small thing, but you can't frequent a cafe that you can't sit down in for long! The outside chairs are better, so i love Mary Ryans when the weather is warm and not too windy.

Mary Ryan's is a great place to not only shop for books but they have great coffee too. The whole atmosphere is gentle & peaceful. I love looking around the store smelling of good coffee. Mary Ryan are the local reps. for ABC Shop. A must to visit coming up to Christmas.
